Margey's actual birthday

I don't think even the Queen celebrates her birthday this much! We gave Margey her presents this morning before she went to work. Me and Sarah gave her Plan B's album and a new camera as the one she has is pretty rubbish, James got her something from the No.7 range, Dad bought her an accessory kit for the camera and tickets to the English National Ballet to see Romeo and Juliet, Steve and Sheila gave her a voucher for Henlow Grange and Nanny, Grandad and both Auntie Ja(y)nes clubbed together and gave her a voucher for a Virgin hot air balloon ride! More days out than presents so more celebrations for her. We celebrated tonight with a meal at The Crown in Northill which was really lovely. The food was excellent and any place that does summer pudding for desert gets my vote!

Work is not fun in hot weather

This is the view of the hotel and the grounds from the edge of the car park. They have so much green space that isn't used for most of the year apart from when we host a two day festival in July. I found out today that I'm going to be working both days and both will be twelve hour shifts. It's going to be hard work and horrid if it's a hot weekend but I will be rolling in the money afterwards! Today at work was bad enough as it was absolutely boiling. We did a barbecue for all the conference delegates which meant that I was out in the sun serving the food for over an hour. It would have been brilliant if I was in a bikini eating the barbecue but I was sweltering in black clothes and having to be polite to the customers. I then had to hoover the whole marquee again so my two main tasks of the day meant that I was too hot. I was glad to get in the Ka with the air conditioning at the end of the day! I just wish I had it in my bed room as it is so hot with no breeze. All this moaning but I actually love the hot weather. I'll be sad when it starts raining.

Day Two of the internship

Bored Bored Boredy Bored. I thought the internship would be much more exciting but in reality it is anything but. I had a bit of a panic this morning when several people told me that the trains to London were running very late but my train was only eight minutes late. Normally it's my fault when I'm late so it was nice to have something else to blame! I got there on time and set up for a busy working day. Sorry, I mean a boring working day. We only had two people come in today during the nine and a half hours I was there, both of whom had appointments and the boss lady stole them away from me before I could even say hello. She even had the cheek to ask me to eat my lunch downstairs so the clients didn't see me eating. What clients?! This picture was my view for the whole day. Well, that and the internet. So I've decided that I'm going to stay there long enough to get the experience and then leave so I don't spend every Monday for the next three months being absolutely bored out of my skull! Bulk up the CV and then run off into the sunset.......

Party time at our house

Another party for the Margey's birthday. Today was a surprise but unlike the one in February, she had some inkling about this one. Parge took her for coffee and then to a garden centre while James, Sarah and I rushed around, making salads, picking the buffet up, defrosting the puddings, tidying the house and decorating the garden. Luckily for us, the weather has been amazing and we could sit in the garden, rather than having to stay inside. Everyone arrived on time and I was a good hostess and got everyone drinks while Sarah introduced everyone to her James. Margey and Pargey arrived with a selection of plants and we all got stuck into the food. I thought most people would leave before the football but they stayed so we had a great atmosphere to watch it! Unfortunately, the atmosphere quickly disappeared with the many German goals and England were knocked out of the World Cup. Disappointing but nothing more than we deserved. My tan gets better and better every but only in the shape of my clothes. Maybe I'll brave a bikini this week? Probably not tomorrow as I'm at the gallery. Actually, who knows as it might attract more people in?! Scare them away more like........

Afternoon tea with Russell Brand

It's Margey's 50th birthday on Wednesday so to celebrate, we took her to Claridges this afternoon for high tea. We went down on the train and as he was DJing tonight, Sarah's James was getting on at Hitchin but very nearly missed it! We got taxis to Claridges and sat down for our afternoon tea in their beautiful dining room. As it's Wimbledon this fortnight, not only did we get the usual finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and a variety of different teas, we also had champagne, strawberries and macarons. Just while I was snacking down on a strawberry, both James' suddenly went 'Russell Brand!' and there he was! He'd been sitting a few tables away and we hadn't noticed him! He casually strolled through, smiling around and not at all phased that most of the women in the room had gasped when they saw him. He is so tall! Claridges has a dress code and he certainly wasn't in a suit - a lovely vest and skinny jeans, I believe. After than excitement, I tried two teas which were Ceylon Orange Pekoe and Darjeeling First Flush which were both lovely and accompanied the food well. I'd forgotten how much I like sandwiches with no crusts. Sarah though she had spotted one of the Formula One drivers but obviously they were racing today. I think we just wanted to see more celebs! When we came last time to Gordon Ramsey's restaurant at Claridges, we saw Kelly Brook so it's obviously the place to be for the rich and famous, or those who just like a nice bit of grub!

The Great British Meal

England loves curry more than they like a roast dinner apparently. It's not true of my family but tonight me and James walked from home to The Akbar to a good old English curry. It's the only place I can really walk to from home - everywhere else is a bit of a trek. Or maybe I'm just lazy! It's a nice small place with only a few tables but the food is good and the staff are attentive. Everytime we order too much so instead of having rice and a naan with my main, I took a leaf out of Harker's book and went for just a naan. Excellent life choice. As always, I went a bit too mental on the poppadoms, mango chutney and luminous onion. I'm still not sure why it's so red. Now watching another 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' - I think I'm addicted.

Claire and Pepper, the dalmatian

Claire's family have always had dalmatians and when we were little, they had one called Poppy who used to pull Claire around on her rollerskates. Because we all lived withing the same area, Vicki and I both remember seeing this feat, despite not knowing who Claire was it the time! Poppy passed away a few years ago and they have recently got a new puppy. Pepper is an adorable, a well trained three month old dalmatian who has brown spots rather than black ones. Claire and I took her to Willington today for a lovely walk. As she's so young, she can only go for short walks so we went to the weir and back. As Danish Camp allow dogs in, we popped in for some lunch and she was very well behaved. Pepper, not Claire. Well, Claire was well behaved too! We had to leave at half two as Pepper needed feeding. With her puppy diet, she eats amazingly well with meat, fish, vegetables, scrambled eggs and lots of full-fat milk. Better than the food I eat!

Degree and Football Celebrations

Some of the girls came round earlier to celebrate my degree result and the England football team beating Slovenia and going through to the next round of the World Cup. The game was amazing and they played so much better than they have done in the previous matches! Defoe scored a great goal with his shin which made me and Pargey jump up and down in the lounge in celebration and the game is now being called 'The Win of the Shin'. The British are so imaginative. Pez and Shep came round at six and we had pizza and garlic bread, although as Shep hates cheese, she brought her own tomato soup. She had to go off to a night shift at the hospital but as she left, Claire arrived. We then had some champagne that Margey and Pargey bought me for getting my degree and we toasted degrees in general as Claire has one more year and Pez hasn't had her results yet. The weather was so lovely that we sat in the garden until half ten with champagne and Shloer. Lovely summer evening.

Shep by her new university

Shep isn't going to university in the Houses of Parliament but Kings College, where she will be starting in September, is just round the corner. She had a Occupational Health test in St. Thomas' hospital this afternoon so we headed down early to spend some time in sunny London. The South Bank was lovely in this weather and we wandered along, looking at all of the human sculptures which included one of the blue things from Avatar and some sort of werewolf. Definitely not Jacob Black though. We thought we'd grab some lunch from the hospital cafe but when we went in, they had a Marks and Spencers shop and cafe! Who said hospital food was bad?! There was a lovely garden outside by the river with a cooling fountain so we sat out there to eat our lunch. It was lovely. The lifts in th building we had to go into were made by a company called Shindlers. Shindlers Lifts...... After her tests, we headed back home and I rang into my university department to get my degree grade....... I GOT A 2:1. Brilliant! Another thing to put on the old CV. I don't know individual module breakdowns but that as an overall grade is pretty good.

The view from my desk

I got up bright and early to jaunt off down to London for my first day at the gallery. I was a bit nervous and had loads of dreams last night about how it could all go wrong, especially opening up and setting up on my own but it went well. I nearly didn't get to the alarm in time to turn it off but I got there in the nick of time! I turned all the lights on, put the music on, opened the shutter, switched the sign to open and I was ready for the swarms of people..... I was waiting a long time. I had an appointment at eleven with a Belgium art dealer who was looking to exhibit his artists over in London. My tour and explanation seemed to go down well but then he swanned off to meet someone at Christie's, daaaaarling. I was there on my own all day until the curator turned up in the late afternoon and it was nice to actually talk to someone. We rehung some of the paintings in the exhibition before she had a meeting with an artist interested in the space. I only wish I was being paid for working! I struggled back through London with the laptop in the heat and got back to Sandy at eight to meet the girls for a drink. It was lovely because it was the first time in ages that I've seen Claire as she's been on her year abroad and it's the last time I'll see Em for six weeks as she is off travelling in South America. Lucky buggers. We sat in a pub garden and then went to the chip shop for some dinner. It was a really lovely evening - thank you, ladies!

Father's Day Meal in Woburn

Got a better night's sleep last night as my cold is getting better and woke up at ten to give the Parger his Father's Day presents - I got him Geoff Hurst's autobiography and two compilation CD's: one of 80's dance hits and one of Ibiza Chilled numbers. Don't ask. He has a unique taste in music. Sarah got him a variety of beers and ciders and 'Iron Man' on DVD. We went to The Birch at Woburn for a late lunch and it's really lovely there. Pretty pricey but the food is great and I wasn't paying. Always makes it better. I went for some sort of duck and sage pate with a more fancy name, followed by a roast leg of lamb with immense roast potatos and posh vegetables. I didn't really want any of the puddings but went for the apple and blueberry crumble with crumble as it was a set meal. I accidentally made the Marger cry with talk of funerals but cheered her up with some jokes. Popped to James' for a bit but then came back home to make a pasta salad for my lunch tomorrow at the gallery and transfer my stuff over to my new handbag. I was planning to get an early night but a brilliant episode of 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' distracted me. But it just finished so now I shall sleep!

Shopping for Work Clothes

After a terrible night's sleep, I had a shower to wake myself up before the Margey picked me up to go shopping for work clothes in Milton Keynes. I'm totally bunged up with a cold so to wake me up even more, we stopped off for a drink when we got there. As I start at the gallery on Monday, I need some smart clothes that look good, rather than my usual uniform of jeans and a top. H&M came up trumps and for a relatively small amount of money, I purchased a short grey jacket, two dresses, a cardigan and three plain vest tops. We had lunch in Pret a Manger and because of my cold, I ate but couldn't really taste. Next stop Marks and Spencers where I got some amazing shoes which will hopefully be comfortable and not hurt me too much! They were pretty pricey though so they better be good! I got a pair of black trousers in the Gap sale and a lovely blue leather bag in the Oasis sale. Sales galore. By this time, I was too tired to carry on so we left but I've still got some money left to spend at a later date. Popped over to Nanny and Grandad's earlier with Margey, Sarah and James but now I'm in bed, smothered in Vicks and hoping to get a better night's sleep!

England World Cup Game

This is the first England game I've watched of the World Cup as last week we were at Download. It began so well. I took a note from Ginn and made Spanish Chicken for dinner and then bought dips and Pringles which unfortunately we forgot to eat. Tommy and Dom came round James', although Dom was really late and Tommy wanted to do something to do with James' Mac to do with his show reel. After an hour of rubbish ITV chatting, the game began and after twenty minutes, it became apparant that I would rather watch Adrian Chiles than rubbish Gerrard and friends. Algeria are rubbish and we still couldn't beat them. John Cleese's quote about England and hope and disappointment has never rung so true. Rooney made so comment to the camera afterwards about the home fans booing them but if you're going to play badly, then you've got to take the flak. We've now moved on to one game to another. The boys have a running competition on Beijing Olympics on the xBox and they are really ferocious with their winning. They are so competative - I though I was bad but Tommy is so much worse! I'm on Team Tommy tonight. Sorry James. All the excuses are coming out now, including alcohol, colds and controllers. I'm on Team 'Who Ever Wins Overall'......

Tea and biscuits in the sunshine

Shep and Ginn came over this afternoon and we spent a lovely few hours in the garden. Shep arrived a bit late as she'd been to the gym and popped to get her Father's Day present but Ginn had walked up so I plied her with lemonade and ice. After they left, I tried to find a suitable costume for the Marge as she has to dress up tomorrow in school for International Day. I tried to make her wear my Cleopatra costume but she didn't want to. She wouldn't let me use the picture of her in it for my blog either! I personally thought she looked brilliant. She was going to go in a French costume and make a beret out of felt this evening - I even went to buy two French sticks - but she's now decided on a Mexican number of a sombrero and a poncho which we just happened to have in the wardrobe! Tonight we watched the great match between France and Mexico while we ate dinner. But adding to a drama, a piece of chicken got stuck half way down my throat and I couldn't get it out for ages! I ended up running to the bathroom and the Marger even tried to do the Heimlich Maneuver but because I was kneeling down, it was more of a funny hug! My throat hurts a lot now......

Cheese and wine and football

I had to work again today but day shifts are worse than the night ones! I think it was because it was light outside but the time just seemed to drag. I did get an immense lunch of lasagne and salad! I left at four and headed home for a shower and dinner with the Marger before going to the Ginn's for a cheese and wine night. Luckily, she was in to watching the football too so we watched the South Africa v. Uruguay match and saw the last two goals. I felt really sorry for the home team but hopefully they can pull back a win in their next game. Lucy and Shep were late as usual but we had a great night looking at fat people on Facebook, eating cheese, drinking horrible wine and laughing a lot at dogs, embarrassing moments and people in clubs in Bedford! Good old cheap rose from Budgens. I have great friends!

Brunettes Are Us

Shep and Ginn picked me up this morning to go to Biggleswade for coffee with Liz and I felt like I should dye my hair! We met at the Surfin' Cafe and chatted for ages. Ginn filled us in about her interview for some charity work, Shep told us about the violent woman at the hospital last night and Liz told us about her drunken activities now that she's finished uni. Shep dropped me back off home and Sarah and I watched lots of football before I had to get ready to go to work. It was a last minute shift but I got the staff tea and free milk as always. Paid to eat is my ultimate job!

London for my orientation

Popped into London today for my orientation at the gallery. The people are lovely there and they gave me the tour and showed me what my duties will be. The lady then dropped the bombshell that when I start on Monday, I will be running the gallery on my own for the day! I have my own keys to open and close the place and have a list of jobs that I have to complete throughout the day, including advertising and promotion of the gallery. Talk about being dropped in at the deep end! I'm really excited about it though as it's a great opportunity and brilliant for the CV especially as I can get involved with the curating of the exhibitions there. I wasn't in there that long so I went shopping for some smart clothes to wear when I'm in the gallery. I got a bit hot in my suit so I only bought a pair of tailored shorts from H&M before heading back to Kings Cross to catch the train. I hope the lure of the shops at Oxford Circus doesn't ruin my overdraft!

Download: And it rained and rained and rained

This morning, the weather looked amazing so I again put on a dress and leggings with my jacket. We had to pop to the Co-Op because my old boots were falling apart and the nice lady there gave me some packing tape to stick them back together. When we got to Download, the weather was absolutely boiling and it looked like the weather reports of rain were false. But little did we know, the rain was on its way. We watched Slash and his band play although it was mainly cringeworthy Guns n' Roses songs. Pretty awkward as he's meant to be touring his new solo album. I spotted the rain clouds on the horizon so we went to one of the tented stages to shelter from the rain. It absolutely tipped it down. We were in this tent for about two and a half hours, waiting for it to stop but it never did. One band we experienced were 'Whitechapel', an American death core group. I don't even know what 'death core' is. Necessity meant we had to watch them though. The rain did not appear to be letting up so James ran to the nearest stalls and bought two shoddy ponchos - one of which I'm sporting in the picture. They were £5 each! But we really needed them to watch Motorhead and could have done with some wellies too as the grass had turned to mud and there were puddles everywhere. So many people had already given up and left the arena so we managed to get quite close to the front. The tape had fallen off my boots by this time so the water and mud poured in and somehow, the mud managed to get into my socks! Awful feeling. We gave up after Motorhead and headed back to the shuttle bus. This was a mission in itself as the whole place had turned into a swamp but I gave up trying to stay dry and charged through the puddles. Now I know what it's always like for Glastonbury! I wonder how many people stayed for Aerosmith? We drove back to Leicester, grabbed our stuff from the house, handed in my keys to the estate agents and now we're driving back home singing to some Led Zeppelin..... James is better at it than I am. And it's still [insert your own swear word] raining!!!

Download: Rage Against The Machine for the second time this week

I think to think that seeing Rage twice in six days is some sort of World Record but it's probably not unfortunately. Today started well and the weather seemed good so I put on a dress - this gamble paid off as it stayed dry and even got pretty warm at one point. The food stalls at festivals are normally quite average but there are some at Download that are really original with good food that's not made from grease. Today I had some minted lamb and hummus in Arabic bread with a Morroccan salad and then later, hallumi and roasted peppers with a honey and mustard dressing and a hearty salad which included peas and celery. None of those rank burgers for me! But I'm now just extremely thirsty - drinks are extortionately priced in the arena and even water is over £2. Looking forward to some milk when I get back to the house! Saw some good bands today including Cancer Bats and Lamb of God but we also saw Megadeath and Deftones who were pretty poor. Rage unfortunately came on twenty minutes late and when they eventually arrived, they had to stop twice as people were getting seriously injured in the crowd. Some fool was also setting off fireworks right at the front so I hope other people weren't hurt from that. They weren't even good fireworks. The band cut down on the political talk to fit more music in but still ran over by about ten minutes. Well worth the wait though!

Download: AC/DC

What a brilliant day. It began badly when we had to wake up at eight to let in the insulation man so he could get into the loft and played some Uno before going back to sleep when he left. We eventually got up at eleven and got ready to head over to Donington. Our original plan was to catch the train to Derby from Leicester and then get one of the shuttle buses over to the festival but for some stupid reason, the last train home was 21:40. Not great when the headliner doesn't finish until half ten..... So James drove to East Midlands Parkway and then we caught the shuttle bus from there. Cunning as it worked out to be much cheaper! Got to the site and immediately bumped into Ben Lloyd with Ollie and Robbie but pretty instantly lost them in the crowd. Met up with Kieron for Killswitch Engage whose lead singer is a lovely man who always wears smart shirts on stage, before finding a good spot on the hill for Them Crooked Vultures and eventually AC/DC. The latter didn't perform on the Main Stage - they had their own stage set up just to the left of it. Their set was brilliant - there was the front of a steam train, fire, canons, a big blow-up woman with massive boobs and ended with some lovely fireworks! Now that is what I call a show. We're just heading back to the uni house for a shower, some Quavers and a bed. Houses are so the new camping.

Finishing university drinks

James and I drove up to Leicester today as we're staying at my uni house and going to Download festival during the weekend and met up with Han, Katie and Dunc this evening. Dunc had arranged, after prompted by someone else on our course (who then didn't turn up), drinks with everyone and those others who came to Italy with us. Thankfully some people didn't turn up as they knew they weren't really welcome but Tom, the Sex Panther, Barbados Natalie and her boyfriend, Ailsa and Becky all turned up but only after we had worried that no-one was coming! Laura and her friends from home came for a bit and it was nice to meet them. Even Han was a bit late because she'd been for a job interview for an art dealer job on a cruise ship! The job sounds amazing but she has to do some training next week before she finds out if she's gets it. We went to The Landsdowne for drinks and although their beverages are lovely, they're pretty expensive. I followed Katie's lead and went for a Berry Kiss which involves some concoction of strawberries, cream and milk. Any drink with milk in gets my vote!

Dinner for Two

Tonight James cooked me and him a brilliant meal. It's the first time he's cooked us a proper three course meal so he was a bit nervous. I provided the wine and had a glass while he was preparing the last few bits. We had tomato, mozzarella and basil skewers to start, bread crumbed chicken on a bed of asparagus with diced courgette and spinach creamed potato, followed by strawberries, cream and ice cream for pudding. There were candles and everything. He's a brilliant, brilliant boyfriend and a great cook - he's doing all the cooking from now on! We're having the last course of a cheese board at the moment and watching Big Brother! Normally, they have a much better line-up but tonight's is pretty poor.... Davina is on fire as normal but the contestants are quite shoddy. The sound quality has been terrible and there has been too many mikes left on. Good job it's the last one.......

Celebrating the end of Hannah's degree

This afternoon, I've come out to Bedford to meet up with Han and her uni friends to celebrate the end of their degree. I've met some of them before but have met some of them properly today and they are all really lovely. We started off in Bankers and had a spot of lunch/dinner and lots of cider. We've now moved on to The Rose - we started with pudding and now me and Rosie have pitchers of Pimms and everyone else is on the white wine and lemonade. Next, we're going to Chameleon for some karaoke but I probably won't sing. Although with a few more Pimms, I'll be up there rapping Sir-Mix-a-Lot's 'Baby Got Back'. Brilliant.

New Summer Clothes

Mass panic as today's blog refused to upload on my phone and it's now 23:53. To summarise, I went shopping to day with James in Cambridge and these were two of the dresses I bought. I saw the second Sex and the City film tonight with Sarah and it was pretty brilliant. I think I'll have to watch it again because I'll probably get more of the jokes when I'm not so tired.........

Rage Against The Machine in Finsbury Park

After the British people stuck one to Simon Cowell and the X-Factor and made Rage Against The Machine Christmas number one last year, the band kept to their promise and put on a huge free gig to say thank you. To get a ticket, you had to register to get a code which you then used when they were released. James forgot to save his code so instead of going with him, I met up with Laura and her friend Jess for the day. We went in, watched Gallows and then grabbed some food and a cider to have while watching Roots Manuva - I went for jerk chicken with sweet corn and a fruit cup. Gogol Bordello were pretty good - at the end, one of the singers threw a bass drum into the crowd before jumping in and climbing on it to sing the end of the song. Very brave indeed. We got a great spot in the crowd for Rage but this photo doesn't do it justice. For once, the three of us could see the actual stage rather than just the screen - we're pretty short! RATM started with a cartoon Simon Cowell introducing them before bursting on and storming through a great set, which included The Clash's 'White Riot'. Halfway through they brought on the couple who had started the original Facebook campaign to get the song to Number One and presented them with the full cheque of royalties for Shelter charity. Such lovely men. 'Killing in the Name' at the end was just fantastic and the whole crowd sung it at the top of their lungs. One of those moments that will stay with you forever. Brilliant. And it didn't rain much!

Dylan, the new Ka

Me and Margey have a new car! Sarah has been given the silver Ka and we've got this new one to share. The Marge would say it's more hers than mine but I let her think that..... It's a lovely slate grey with air conditioning, parking sensors and electric windows - all the mod-cons! It's called Dylan because the last three letters are 'DLN'. Witty. This picture was taken just before I left for work which explains the monochrome. I know it may look like I only have one hand but the other one is there somewhere. I'm now very tired and stuck on the sofa watching 'Legally Blonde'. Good but I need to sleep.

Good friends, good times.

Today was my last ever day at the University of Leicester and the weather was beautiful. James and I met Katie, Ross, Han and Dunc for lunch in The Scholar which was rammed with students going mental as it's the end of the year. I just can't believe it's all over. Three years has travelled by so slowly but completely flown by at the same time. Marge and Parge came up this evening to pick up the last few bits of my stuff and then to completely clean my room and the bathroom. Our land lady has been great over the two years but she has given us a long list of cleaning jobs that we have to do before we vacate the premises, including weeding the back yard, washing the windows and wiping the skirting boards. Cleaning is very tiring. Just heading home now for a lovely feta and spinach quiche and a home made summer pudding but I'm squashed in the back of the big car at the moment with all my stuff and a step ladder...... Odd.

Course Fwends

After three years of university, we have finally finished. Unfortunately, Thomas had cunningly used a picture in our final exam this morning that he'd used for the last three years so we'd assumed that he wasn't going to use but he actually used it! Unfortunately for us again, the person who showed the presentation in our lectures is not liked by me, Han, Katie or Dunc so our notes were limited. Luckily, we managed to blag our way through the question apart from Shields who decided to ignore it completely. Risky business. After our exam, we went for a curry and then shopping and now we're out to celebrate. We started at Han's for some drinking games and chats but now we're at Varsity and waiting for Ross to do some shots. We have tickets for Chilli Whites in town so we shall head there next for more £1 drinks. Good times.

Nothing better than sitting in the sun

After clearing out the living room and kitchen this morning at the house, I eventually managed to get a bit of revision done before grabbing some lunch and heading over to Auntie Jayne's house. It was surprisingly warm so we sat in the garden while Holly revised for her upcoming Maths exam and Grace and her friend Neesha made rocky road cupcakes. I had one for pudding after a yummy dinner of pasta and pesto and they were very tasty. Just the right amount of cake, chocolate and marshmellow. I'm going to bake a lot this summer. I say that, it'll be more like one cake which goes wrong and puts me off baking for life. That is much more plausible unfortunately!

French food is yummy

For my second French meal of the week, Laura, Vicki, Brooke and I went to Le Bistro Pierre as our last meal of our degree. Vick had her first and only exam today but Brooke and Laura finished last week. I, however, have one left to do on Thursday. We went early enough so we could get the pre-theatre menu as it's slightly cheaper and I accidentally ordered a lot of mushrooms. They're not my favourite. I had mushrooms and bacon on brioche to start, followed by beef bourginion which was filled with the things and then a lemon and passion fruit posset. Luckily, this last course did not involve mushrooms. The three of them went out afterwards but I had to come home to do revision as I spent most of the day dismantling my room ready to move home at the end of the week. It is now looking rather bare - quite an odd feeling really. I feel like I'm going to bed in a stranger's room. Never mind.
